National Records and Archives Administration
Hunt Midwest contracted with Meyer Brothers for three separate projects to expand the existing National Records and Archival Administration. The first project was considered NARA 1.5 which consisted of 105,769 sq.ft. of records storage in two storage bays and exterior parking lot expansion. The second project, NARA 2.0, consisted of 51,678 sq.ft. of records storage, 4,831 sq.ft. of support offices, 2,107 sq.ft. of supply storage and 72,320 sq.ft. of archival storage which had stringent temperature and humidity constraints and required sophisticated, custom HVAC systems. The third project, NARA 3.0, consisted of another 2 bays of record storage totaling another 90,038 sq.ft.
All three project had an aggressive schedule for completion which was met with many coordination issues with other vendors, ie shelving contractor and subsurface construction issues. Each was met with professionalism and efficient resolves to make each project successful.
